Just wondering is there a way to heal companions other than sleeping with them in your group or using the bought potion at the shop?

Nope, those are the only ways.

It would be nice if they would add some veterenary, healing and necroheal (for those who are not quite alive, but not completely dead) by combining those skills in the profession of compassion (for example)
