Our guild master has been offline in excess of a month, so, in a concerted effort, we've been voting via 'propose as guild master'. There has been absolutely no feedback either voting or receiving votes or any acknowledgement whatsoever about activity in this direction. Does anyone know what this process entails?

That's the drawback of voting system.

and ... resolved! Support simply changed it. Unfortunately, no details were given. It shall remain a mystery.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't... we don't know why and then the only solution is to ask the support

It failed not often, so it's clearly faster to change the guild master manually than read the code again and again to discover and correct this bug.
