Taming - Degradation of Progression over time
Taming - Degradation of Progression over time
Is there a time limit within which you are supposed to complete the taming of a creature? I progressed the taming of a creature to just over 50%. I have then gone off to collect more of the necessary materials to tame the creature and done a few other items. I have now gone back and discovered that the progression of the taming has gone back to 0%. Is this a bug or deliberate?

It doesn't degrade, but any taming progress is tied to the camp that you did the tasks at. If you lose that camp, then you lose the taming progress entirely and have to start again .
Re: Taming - Degradation of Progression over time
Hello,
If your camp disappeared before you came back, you can't really find the exactly place (it looks like 150/260 ... in reality it's more 150.325415787154/259.9542547587). And you can't find that place again.
Send us a mail at support@virtys.com I will add your old progression to the new one (I suppose it's about a wyvern)...
@Aeschylus : It's better not to start it again if you want some help ^^ (it's easy for us to find the old progression if there is only 1 progression bar for the same task )

Thank you Céline,
You are correct, the pesky wyvern is the issue. Have sent mail to support to resolve the issue. Hope your day/night goes well.

That will be unfair to all those who started again from 0.

Re: Taming - Degradation of Progression over time
If you don't tell us that you have a problem, we can't guess it
But we have lot of solutions
- Crossing and shared homes
- Sending stuff to an inactive player because you don't write correctly the name
- Confirm email address
- Inactive guild leader
- Some 'quest recipes', because you gave it to another characters years ago

It's very sweet that you do that. Seriously, customer focus is a big gold star. But where is the line? Can you return to me hundreds of the poisons i forgot to take off after boss-fight ? Or accordingly give me more attempts to win all the battles that I lost because I forgot to put them on?

You can ask it to support... I'm not sure I have a list of festivals organized by a guild.

Re: Taming - Degradation of Progression over time
Honestly Taming should be tied to region not camp. Take Mountain Goat in Reni Mountains for example. If you tame a goat in Reni to 70%, leave to get more Troll Claw and setup a camp in Reni again, 2 days later at a different location you should still have 70% left. This would solve any issues like the above one. Tied to region, not camp.

o
most annoying when you record the location and still can't find it again
