Question about rounding up %yeld bonus from location
^ Built my salancedar spot and it got 57 WC (ie 28.5% bonus) - but got only 48% (20 base+28.5 from location) - looks like rounded down.. ?
^ While it was rounded up for our odiemel mine.
Got 39 from location (ie 19.5% bonus) - and ended with 50% in total (30% base +19.5% from location)
How so ?

Don't know how to say it in English =/ but in French it's "arrondi au pair le plus proche" :
pair : 2 4 6 8 10 12 .... plus proche = nearest
• 1.5 -> 2
• 1.6 to 1.9 -> 2
• 2.1 to 2.4 -> 2
• 2.5 -> 2
• 2.6 to 2.9 -> 3
• 3.1 to 3.4 -> 3
• 3.5 -> 4
• 3.6 to 3.9 -> 4

I got that - any X.5 number being rounded to nearest number that can be divided by 2.
But, but ... guys its against math laws
Always though any x.5+ being rounded up no matter what.

It's just another way to do
In English it's also : "round half to even" - RoundingMode.HALF_EVEN always rounds to the next number, like any other rounding-algorithmn - with only one execption: If the number-to-round is exacly between 2 numbers (2.5, 42.5, -4.5), it will not round it up, but instead round it to the neighbour which is even (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/281 ... r#28134961)

Got another question about how exactly rounding works in game.
Lets take grimalrock boulders for example and 66-extraction rails for stone:
Base presence for grock boulders = 1%
1+66/4=1+16.5=17.5 (rounded UP to 18% total presence?)
?? OR is it:
1+66/4=1+16.5(rounded down to 16)=17
Makes a difference since with 17% its 24 cycles to extract each grock boulder and with 18% its 23 cycles.
400/18=22.22 (23 cycles)
400/17=23.53 (24 cycles)

I think with a 66 rail, the presence is exactly 17.5 (but rounded up when being displayed, thus showing 18 presence).
We have a quarry for groc boulder with 69 rails. The game shows
18% presence (1+69/4 = 18.25 => round down to 18) but we only need 22 extractions for each boulder.
I think the calculation for number of extractions is
400/(1 + 69/4) = 21.91 (22 cycles).
Another hint is the % the shows after completing each extraction in the log. For groc boulder, here is the % of completion
shown in the game log with 69 rail.
5%, 9%, 14%, 18%, 23%, 27%, 32%, 36%, 41%, 46%, 50%, 55%, 59%, 64%, 68%, 73%, 78%, 82%, 87%, 91%, 96%, 100% (get 1 boulder).
These numbers are rounded for display purpose but they are rounded value of multiples of (18.25 * / 400).
This lead me to think that in the salancedar giantyard (shown in the first post), with a 57 wc mechanism and 20 base, the presence is exactly 48.5% but displayed as 48%.

But if Sniq is right - for the purpose of "how many cycles needed" - its used as non-rounded original (hidden) number ?
Its not that critical for my personal salancedar spot, but its more important for guild resources ide say.
And ofc would be nice to know how things actually work - so we can plan properly.

Don't care about energy/time, my Test Character have a speed bonus (x1000).
With rails 66 -> 18% -> 23 cycles.
With rails 69 -> 18% -> 22 cycles.
Remember : this is what I can test on Dev server, I'm not a dev, I haven't access to code, formula etc, I just took some notes when devs and some players (like Gopol, Aknoth,...) gave some intersting "maths" information.
I never test on dev'server for myself, I'm so late in game that I ask question to "big guild" members :p
"what do I need for a "small" or "big" quarry for giant grim ?"...."Do I need a super sleeping place, or is a normal one enoug ?"

Based on the above (which was extremely interesting). There is a possibility that the real chance in the example above of the salanсedr spot is 48.5 and only displayed as 48, on the principle "Banker's rounding". I mean mathematical calculations can differ from rounding off. So using the best engineer items can still make sense
