making potions

Postby infael » Fri 02 Dec 2016, 11:50

What does Therian look at when making pots? I was experimenting with different combinations for dex pots. Saffrom, with 10 resistance increases my skillup chance while hawkweed with a higher resistance, removed any chance of skillup.

Saffrom has 20 invigorating while hawkweed has none. Saffrom has 12 inalterability while hawkweed has 5. This is in the 1st slot. Later, I put hawkweed in the 2nd slot with varacia is slot 1. Changed hawkweed to saffrom and the difficulty stayed the same.

I need to skillup herbalism and have a palpable mortar and unicorn ring. I'm not understanding how the numbers work.

Inalterability is what sets the difficulty and only the highest inalterability is used. Resistance determines the stat you need to overcome with concoction strength via binders and vials.
