I've crafted a dozen or more exceptional tin nasal cervellieres so far, but I still haven't learned any other recipes. I just want to make sure I'm on the right path. Do I need to use a better metal?

It's the good path
You can discover recipe if the guid says "discoverable - yes" in the same sub-section (in game : in the same "tab").


For the level, you can discover a recipe until 10 levels above the real level of your craft. The most you are close to the level of the looked recipe, the most you have of chances to find it. When your are higher, you have a +1bonus (1 ou 10 level higher, it's the same).
For exemple, with iron plates + exceptional quality, I craft at level 37. It's enough to discover all the recipe (plated mail chest is level 40). I think with tin plates, in exceptional, you are at level 27, it's enough to discover everything until Plated Mail Arms.


You just have to persevere.
