Poor animals

As we can see there are only to animals that better than humans for crafting – Snowy Owl and Glutomole. And they are really awesome.
But why other animals are so weak compared to humans?
Why there are no animals for Woodcutting/ woodworking/engineering smth like Beaver?
For melting like Salamander.
For taming/breeding like Shepherd Dog?
Etc.

Other side is that animals are good for landform knowledge but for not all of it's kinds – Urbans is only obtained via Young domestic tortolion. Why not a single other animal can not live in towns? Even Horses.

Cuz animals can't work as passive gathereres. I'd prefer WC T4 to be a humanoid at least

I prefer them to exist. I don't say we not need T4 humans. We need animals as skill helpers not only humans.
