The Irandgard Root Cascade Effect

Postby Yushi » Mon 29 Feb 2016, 01:43

Wanted to start a thread about this. Want to know what people's thoughts are on how this will be affecting the game. There've already been some speculations.

What I see so far:
goes in a pot for jewelry, which then allows cutting of stardust
goes in other pots for raising other skills (raises any maximums? allows for new craftings?)
stardust jewelry raises herbalism (allows for new craftings?)
just using the irandgard root in potions raises herbalism (allows for new craftings?)
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

A quick search I did shows the following cascading effects:

Jewelry gets to 80
We can cut stardust 4c, gives +.2 to a few trades (no further changes caused)

Forging gets to 82 (81 on temple)
We can craft superior scissors (no change in sewing max) and sup kmane chest

Herbalism gets to 80
No useful pot I think needs 80 skill

Feeds
Wyvern Slashing can be now maxed

That's all I have found so far

Ok, didn't know about wyvern slashing. I'm still super newbie about feeds. I know there's something about Golem Monster pierce defense can't be maxed right now either. Too bad it didn't affect that.

Wyvern slash is worth it!!

+ the chest armour defo

I think you can take herbalism further to 85 / 85... will that open up anything?

Not sure. Waiting for Deva to chip-in. They'd likely know.

So with the scissors, nothing new can be crafted? No Exceptional Wingu Checked Tabards yet?

Added Feed changes yesterday.

- 84/84 Herbalism
- 57 Herbalism Greenhouse
- 56 Runic Mortar and Pestle
- 56 Stone-sage
- 5.1 Stardust Bracelet
- 7.6 Runic Potion
(84 * .4) + (57 * .3) + (56 * .2) + (56 * .1) + 5.1 + 7.6 = 80.2.

Appears so, at Greenhouses. Not enough for Spidridus Healing Vials (82). (Inferior to Lamden Mariglacius anyways.) 82 minimum for Redauroch Feeds. 80 skill for Glacin, Black Varec, and Slork Land Feeds, though. Enables 65 Urban Feeds (useless).

- Bump up to 85/85.
- 52 Herbalism at a Temple.

(85 * .4) + (56 * .3) + (56 * .2) + (52 * .1) + 5.1 + 7.6 = 79.9. No new runic options.
__________

Sewing:
- 87/87 skill. No better from cutting Stardust.
- New 64 runic scissors.
- 59 Fashion House
- 57 Autocrat
- 4.8 Bracelet
- 6.6 non-runic potion

(87 * .4) + (64 * .3) + (59 * .2) + (57 * .1) + 4.8 + 6.6 = 82.9. No change.

Offered nothing good at 83 Sewing anyways. Meant Complex Wingu Banner (35 Leadership/70 Prestige), Wingu Trims (largely equal to Olkznar/Blacknester), and Regular/Notable Wingu Long Tabard (59 Leadership. Equals 78 skill Rustic Mistyon Wingu.)

84 Sewing: 63 Leadership normal Wingu Mistyon Tabard. Beats Notable Wingu Checked Tabard (61 Leadership. Also 84 Sewing). Ties 85 skill's Exceptional Wingu Checked Tabard too.

Edit: Considers 84 Sewing's normal Wingu Mistyon Faulds an upgrade. +2 to Urban, Plains, Forest, Hills, Mountain, Snow, and Cave. +3 to Desert. -2 to Sea. -3 to Swamp. Subtract one from all positives for normal Wingu Mistyon Tabard's stats.

Well I suppose one good thing about 85 / 85 herbalism and a 5.1 botony ring is that will bring the pot requirements for gathering the root down to only 6.0 negating the need to burn a Lamden Marg every time

I suppose, 85 flora and 5.1 ring will allow to gather elicard sap without botany potion. Not affect anything since it can be looted before at swamp dungeon.
