That's because the action for taking roots already exists, but was just impossible to accomplish !
I think they might add a location bonus, which was missing !

I wonder if this is a correct place to ask about the further update with the shared homes feature (if not, please tell me, I'll post elsewhere) - is it possible to get a little confirmation beforehand on how it's going to work? So that regrettable decisions won't be made with soon-to-be-useless concessions
My best guess is similar to guild concessions, with all the things possible, working yourself, recruiting, passive gathering. Also is one share going to work as one concession opened up to whole account?

I would start another thread, and title it carefully. Once this update is over, Virtys might not pay much attention to this thread. Also, this update (unless I am mistaken) will not include that feature. Which means they may not even have defined precisely how it will work. So you could, in your question thread, suggest how you'd like it to work. Virtys might well have their design finalized, but if they don't...

For those curious: Went to Anderversan Woods A4 (top-left corner).

Previous: 75 Botany, 62 Swamp. 1-2 Irandgard Root.
Current: 73 Botany, 61 Swamp. 1-2 Irandgard Root.

Bring Regeneration Vials. Enjoy entering with Stone-sage (assuming no other gathering locations).

I was having the same problem until I cleared the browser cache. I am using Firefox on Windows.
In case you are also using Firefox, choose "Options" ==> Privacy ==> click "Clear your recent history" ==> click Details (select Cache, and maybe Offline Website Data and cookies) ==> Choose "Last Hour" ==> Click "Clear Now"
